Welcome Volunteer Position
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Welcome Volunteer to join our team at Tara Institute.
Position Details:
🕚 Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm
⏳ Duration: 3 hours
📍 Location: Tara Institute
Role Responsibilities:
Warmly greeting visitors as they arrive
Answering phone inquiries
Showing guests around the centre, including the bookshop and gompa (meditation hall)
Creating a welcoming and peaceful first impression
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys meeting people, has good communication skills, and would like to support a vibrant spiritual community.

Volunteer Book & Gift Shop Manager
Love books, beautiful gifts, and community spirit? Tara Institute, a Tibetan Buddhist Centre in Brighton and part of the FPMT network, is looking for a warm and organised volunteer to manage our not-for-profit shop. This flexible role is perfect for someone passionate about service and meaningful impact.

Handyperson (Volunteer position)
Tara Institute needs someone with all-round handyperson skills to help us with the regular small repair jobs that crop up regularly around our buildings. Working with the Building Manager and Office Manager, this will involve basic repairs that don't require a qualified tradesperson. If you think you can help, please contact the office.
